“The Anniversary” is directed by Alan LeBoeuf.

It is the morning of Basil and Sybil’s fifteenth wedding anniversary, and Basil has made some special arrangements in order to surprise Sybil. Some of her friends are coming over, and Manuel is going to cook his mother’s special paella.

Basil forgot his and Sybil’s wedding anniversary last year, and this year, as a nice surprise for Sybil ( or probably because he wants to rub Sybil’s nose in it ) decides to throw a party with all her friends invited without telling her about it. Basil shows obvious enjoyment while feigning forgetfullness of the significance of the date as Sybil displays deep sadness that he has forgotten again. Of course, Basil’s plans backfire spectacularly when Sybil storms off.

“Waldorf Salad” is directed by Kayte Davies.

Dinner time is exceptionally busy at Fawlty Towers and as usual the service is appalling. Several dissatisfied customers later, Basil has to attend to some new guests at reception. The Hamiltons are an American couple and Mr Hamilton is especially loud and brash, criticising England and really getting up Basil’s nose.

THE CAST OF CHARACTERS OF “GOURMET NIGHT”:

“Gourmet Night” is directed by Bob Cooper.

A Touch of Class shows how Basil leaves no stone unturned in his pandering to the upper classes. This theme continues in Gourmet Night when Basil organises a night of fine dining for four “respected” members of the community, the food being cooked by his new chef, Kurt. Basil seems to have some strange pie-in-the-sky notion that Fawlty Towers will one day cater to the “cream” of Torquay society. When his “fine” new chef, Kurt, gets drunk, Basil’s hopes of achieving these ambitions seem further away than ever.
